We are looking for individuals who can work independently and help out the Housekeeping Team. If you like to work alone with minimal supervision and indoors, this job is a great fit for you!Job responsibilities include:Maintain cleanliness of hallways by removal of soiled linens and trashTrain new houseperson on multiple houseperson dutiesDelivery of requested items to guest roomsFollow established health and safety procedures for using cleaning chemicalsResponsible for stocking of all closets and housekeeping cartsDeliver dirty linens to appropriate placesClean and vacuum assigned areaComplete daily cleaning projectCompliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirementsOther duties as assignedRequired qualifications include:2 years of previous work history/education requiredBasic knowledge and skills in a routine housekeeping work desirableInteract and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with SSRC's Service Excellence standards.Handle heavy laundry and carts utilizing proper lifting methodsFacilitate workflow for Houseperson area with minimum supervisionOperate carpet machine, vacuum, etc.Maintain flexible work hoursAdhere to all safety policiesEmployment for this job is contingent upon the successful completion of a background checkThe base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $20.00 per hour during training & piece rate compensation after with a typical range of $21.00 - $30.00 per hourPhysical requirements include:Must be a minimum 18 years of ageLift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basisPush laundry cartsWalk and stand for extended periods of timeMust speak and understand English. Spanish a plusWorking conditions include:Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to harsh and varying outside weather conditions.Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate.
