Site Manager I
Schneider Electric has an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager I position in our West Region. The Site Manager I is an entry-level field leadership role responsible for day-to-day coordination and supervision of construction activities. This individual works closely with the Schneider Electric Project Management Team to ensure work is executed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract plans, specifications, and applicable public agency requirements.
What will you do?
- Field Coordination & Execution: Supervise subcontractors across assigned scopes of work. Monitor and document daily construction activities to ensure alignment with the project schedule and approved submittals. Coordinate site access, work sequencing, and logistics with the client and project team. Participate in and document weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and the client.
- Documentation & Reporting: Support project execution through accurate project documentation including daily reports, QA/QC records, equipment deficiency reports, material receiving records, visitor logs, punch lists, as-built drawings, and substantial completion documentation. Record, track, and forward Requests for Information (RFIs) and material submittals to the project team.
- Quality: Inspect installed work for conformance with plans, specifications, and approved submittals. Identify non-conforming work and support prompt corrective actions. Conduct and maintain QA/QC documentation. Coordinate, conduct, and document inspections with AHJs.
- Safety: Enforce company and site-specific safety plans and applicable OSHA regulations. Complete Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Point of Work Risk Assessments (POWRAs), and other Schneider Electric safety documentation as required during project preparation and implementation. Promote and enforce compliance with PPE and site safety requirements. Ensure the site is properly secured and prepared for safe continuation of work activities.
What are the key skills we are looking for?
- Working knowledge of construction plans, specifications, and submittals.
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, or civil systems relevant to EPC project scopes.
- Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication; able to produce clear field documentation.
- Organized, meticulous, and able to manage competing priorities on an active job site.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project) required; experience with Bluebeam preferred.
- Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrates initiative, professionalism, and a willingness to develop leadership capabilities in a fast-paced construction environment.
What qualifications will make you successful?
- Education: Associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of trade experience and technical training.
- Experience: 0-3 years of construction field experience in commercial, industrial, utility, or EPC environments preferred.
- Certifications & Requirements: (required or able to be obtained within 60 days) OSHA 30 First Aid / CPR Valid driver's license with clean record Background check required; specific requirements vary by project and public agency.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, ongoing basis. The company does not provide immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Active outdoor construction site; exposure to variable weather conditions. Frequent walking over uneven terrain; bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Travel to project sites required; estimated 90% field-based. Standard schedule Mon–Fri; occasional weekend work based on project needs.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
