Onto Innovation strives to optimize customers’ critical path of progress by making them smarter, faster and more efficient.Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesONTO Innovation is seeking a Product Manager for their Metrology Business Unit (MBU) products to promote the development of complex semiconductor processing equipment. The successful candidate will work with a cross-functional team to manage the health of the Metrology Business Unit products and will drive CIP and next generation product initiatives. Major responsibilities include developing product strategy (including specifications and roadmaps), coordinating product life cycle initiatives, and tracking product health.Other responsibilities will include:Cross-functional engagement with account managers, engineering, operations, and executive leadershipManage and own PLC gate reviewsDevelop PRDs for new productsAssist Technical Account Managers (TAMs) in specification reviewsPrioritize engineering projects based on field input and internal resource availabilityWork closely with Project ManagementThis role has significant and measurable impact on the success of the Metrology Business Unit. The successful candidate should possess strong analytical and creative thinking skills to thrive in an ambiguous environment.Must be able to travel internationally to customer sites at least 20% of the time, with additional travel as business needs require.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in an engineering or similar discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Material Science, Physics, or related) and a minimum of 3 years of experience; or advanced degree required. Must be comfortable interpreting engineering drawings, system block diagrams, electrical schematics, engineering specifications, and manufacturing requirements.Ability to work within a cross-functional team and motivate individuals without direct authorityTakes initiative to begin projects independentlyStrong interpersonal skills; Especially presentation and story-telling skillsLeader and motivator of personnelProficient with Microsoft Office SuiteSemiconductor/Semiconductor capital equipment experience is strongly preferred.
