Exploration Geologist

Exploration Geologist Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 Location: Hawthorne, Nevada (candidates open to relocation are encouraged to apply) The Client: Our client is a Nevada-focused gold mining company working to bring their mine into production as a low-cost, high-margin operation. The company runs a lean, hands‑on site where engineers take on broad responsibilities and play a direct role in shaping mine performance and growth. What you will achieve in this role: Collect, manage, and interpret geological and assay data to define mineralized zones and future drill targets Oversee exploration drilling programs to ensure accurate targeting and sample quality Lead QA/QC processes for sampling, logging, and data validation Coordinate closely with engineering and site teams to support exploration and development plans Use survey equipment to set up and record drill collar locations Supervise core handling, core library organization, and sample storage Guide and monitor the work of core and onsite lab technicians Conduct field mapping and surface sampling, documenting key geological features Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards in line with mining regulations What you must bring to this role: Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related discipline At least 3 years of experience in exploration or mining, ideally in gold Strong working knowledge of geological modelling, GIS, and database systems Experience with surveying and assay sample preparation Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment FAA drone license or willingness to obtain one Resource modelling experience considered an asset Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental best practices Valid driver’s license and ability to work in a physically demanding site environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
