Medical Technologist
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Medical Technologist for its Phoenix laboratory facility to perform clinical testing procedures, operate diagnostic instrumentation, and ensure specimen quality. The role operates Sunday-Thursday, 2:00 pm-10:30 pm, and requires laboratory expertise with flow cytometry experience.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental standard operating procedures
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
- Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls; document quality control procedures
- Report accurate test results timely and maintain safe work environment with proper safety equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Science, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- Minimum 1 year clinical laboratory testing experience in Flow Cytometry
- ASCP or AMT certification preferred
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Ability to pass color blindness screening test
- Knowledge of Immuno Chemistry, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, and Hematology
