Role Description The Certified Physician Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Brookfield, WI. This position involves performing comprehensive patient assessments, reviewing medical histories, conducting focused physical exams, and ordering or interpreting diagnostic studies related to venous disease. The Physician Assistant will perform or assist with minimally invasive vein procedures, provide pre- and post-procedure counseling, and manage follow-up care, including monitoring treatment outcomes and adjusting care plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include documenting encounters in the medical record, coordinating care with physicians and clinical staff, educating patients on treatment options and preventive measures, and supporting clinic workflow to ensure timely, high-quality care. The role also includes maintaining compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements while contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the practice.

Qualifications

  • Current Physician Assistant license in the state of Wisconsin and graduation from an accredited PA program; national certification (e.g., NCCPA) required.
  • Clinical experience in vascular, cardiology, surgery, or related specialty preferred, with a strong interest in venous disease and minimally invasive procedures.
  • Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, differential diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment planning in an outpatient clinical setting.
  • Ability to perform or learn minimally invasive vein procedures (e.g., endovenous ablation, sclerotherapy, phlebectomy) under appropriate supervision and training.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex medical information clearly, support patient education, and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records, accurate clinical documentation, and adherence to privacy, safety, and infection-control standards.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to manage a steady patient schedule, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
