In the role of Distribution Section Manager, we'll count on you to:Take responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing supportFunction as Project Manager and take responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilitiesTake administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sectionsBe involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviewsBe directly involved with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production and related issuesSee that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management systemImplement, monitor and support company policySelect, train, develop and manage technical personnelManage and develop multidiscipline teamsWork cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production effortsPerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Preferably Electrical, but other degrees will be taken into consideration along with background and experience.Professional Engineering (PE) License. A license/certification (PMP or similar) is a plus.Experience with industry software including: CYMCAP, ETAP, EasyPower, Polywater Pull Planner, PLS-CADD, Spida Calc, Pole Foreman, etc.4+ years of distribution design experience including planning studies, coordination studies, wiring sizing, and a general understanding of constructability.10+ years of overall experience including prior project management and staff management experience.Excellent client management skills, marketing, and business development skills in addition to contacts/relationships with power delivery clients.Previous experience managing staff, clients, contracts, and hiring staff for an engineering consulting firm.Self-driven and motivated individual who can network, generate new work, recruit, and grow a team.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceA minimum of 10 years experienceProfessional registration, license or certification may be required based on roleStrong communication and listening skillsAbility to handle multiple assignmentsGood leadership and organizational skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We Believe HDR is our company. The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
