• Hours per week: 36 hours/week
• Employment Type: Contract (Travel & Per Diem options available)
• Required Licenses/Certifications: BLS & NRP
• Experience: 3+ years NICU experience, Epic experience preferred

What You'll Do:

• Attend deliveries (vaginal and cesarean section), assist with newborn transition and stabilize neonates in the NICU
• Admit and discharge newborns to/from NICU and NOU units
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (NPs, MDs, RNs, social workers, RTs, radiology, OT) to coordinate care
• Educate and update parents on infant care and breastfeeding support
• Administer medications and draw labs with compassion and precision
• Manage ventilators, central lines, and assist with procedures like chest tube, PICC, UAC, and UVC placements
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as x-rays, ultrasounds, blood gases, and intubations

What You Need:

• Valid Louisiana RN license and current BLS & NRP certifications
• Minimum of 3 years neonatal intensive care experience in a Level III NICU setting
• Proficiency in IV placement, medication administration, and ventilator management
• Strong customer service, empathy, and communication skills
• Ability to float as needed within the NICU and newborn nursery
