Speech Language Pathologist - 26-27 SY

The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician's orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Position Details

Modality: Speech Language Pathologist School

Pay Rate: $63 / hour

Shifts: 32.5 hours /week; times are broken up into 3 tiers (7am-2pm, 8am-3pm, and 9am-4pm)

They let SLP pick up to 2 different schedules per week

Details of Assignment: Modality: Speech Language Pathologist (must be in person)

SLP must be flexible. They are here to serve the students of Saint Louis City and must be flexible if something changes or they may have to be in more than 1 school depending on their caseload. if they do, it will be a site nearby. they want to make sure we discuss flexibility with them.

Grade Level & Classroom Type: All grades needed

Caseload Details: 35-50 students on caseload depending on service minutes. This can alternate but will not go above 50.

Bulk of SPED population is learning disabilities and OHI(ADHD).

Day to Day Duties: Therapy type services (candidate will write IEPs)

Specific Campus: Specific sites are TBD and will be gone over in the interview (mostly elementary schools)
