Job Description & Requirements TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The right candidate should have at least 1 year of experience; exceptionally qualified candidates with 6 months experience may be accepted. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Assist patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and evaluate and develop a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting. Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Create treatment and therapy plans that suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients. Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders. Educate patients and family members about speech disorders, causes, disabilities, and traumatic events. Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals. Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines. Qualifications Minimum 6 months of experience (new graduates encouraged). BLS certification. ASHA‑SLP National Certification with state‑specific licensing. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment. Job ID: 1424628.
