Position Overview: This role involves conducting diagnostic procedures to evaluate cardiac structures and hemodynamics, adhering to established protocols. The position may involve performing echocardiography on either adults or children. Primary Responsibilities: Conduct diagnostic procedures, document patient test results, and communicate findings. Ensure patient comfort and safety during examinations, notifying physicians of any abnormalities or changes in patient conditions. Maintain adequate supplies and confirm that all equipment is functioning properly; report any issues. Accurately position patients and select appropriate anatomical and technical parameters. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in all activities. Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS promptly, ensuring correct lead markers and patient data/history. Assist in keeping the department clean and organized, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms. Maintain a state of alertness and safety at all times. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education: Completion of an Echocardiography program. Experience: No prior experience is necessary. Physical Requirements: Regular standing and walking. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances. Regular use of hearing and speech for effective communication. Frequent ability to distinguish body sounds and detect alarms or equipment malfunctions. Regular lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Frequent lifting/moving of patients. Regular reaching, gripping, and data entry on a keyboard. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs. Occasional use of vision to identify and differentiate colors. Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements of the legs and arms. Rarely kneeling or sitting.
