Job Title: Registered Radiologic Technologist ($5000 hire-on bonus)

Location: Johnson County Hospital, Tecumseh, NE

Department: Radiology

Reports To: Radiology Director

Position Summary:

A Radiology Technologist is permitted to apply radiation to any part of the human anatomy for diagnostic purposes. This person performs radiographic procedures at the request of, and for the interpretation by, a licensed practitioner. These procedures include but are not limited to computed tomography (CT), the use of contrast media, and the use of fluoroscopic equipment. This employee is a vital member of the Radiology Department who works to meet the needs of customers/patients in the continuous pursuit of cost-effective and high-quality health care.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform x-ray exams as well as CT and any additional imaging modalities trained in.
• Performs and records departmental and equipment QA's.
• Performs accurate and safe operation of imaging by following established safety procedures under order to protect the patient and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure.
• Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Current ARRT certification or registry eligible, State of Nebraska Medical Radiographer license.
• BLS certified
• Previous experience in CT and/or MRI is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under normal and/or emergency circumstances.
• Ability to take call on a rotating schedule and respond to hospital call within 30 minutes.

Additional Information:

This position is fulltime, including a rotating call schedule. JCH offers a $5000 hire-on bonus for fulltime.
