Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Onsite 5 Days per Week)
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a fast-paced accounting team supporting a high-volume AP environment. This role is responsible for processing invoices, ensuring timely vendor payments, supporting month-end close activities, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate has strong experience with NetSuite, thrives in a high-volume setting, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently
• Ensure timely payment of vendors through checks, ACH, and wire transactions
• Utilize NetSuite to manage accounts payable transactions and maintain financial records
• Prepare monthly accounts payable financials by reviewing check registers, wire transactions, and deposits
• Reconcile outstanding checks and file unclaimed property reports as required
• Review general ledger accounts in preparation for month-end close
• Update and maintain cash flow records
• Investigate and resolve invoice, payment, and vendor discrepancies
• Maintain compliance with company accounting policies and procedures
• Collaborate with internal departments to support accurate financial reporting

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience
• Experience processing a high volume of invoices in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on experience using NetSuite
• Experience preparing monthly accounts payable financials
• Experience reviewing check registers, wire transactions, and deposits
• Experience reconciling outstanding checks and supporting month-end close
• Experience reviewing general ledger accounts
• Experience maintaining and updating cash flow records
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
