Nutritionist Position

Responsibilities include providing certifications, nutrition education, and food package changes to clients in person, over the phone, and virtually. Serves as a resource on nutrition and dietetics to nurses, health educators or other health care providers in the facility. Recommends nutritional care plans and documents plan and progress in records. M-F work schedule with 13 paid holidays and excellent benefits package. All Coastal Health District, County Health Department employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods and nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management or a closely related field from an accredited college or university AND verification statement of completion of a didactic program accredited by The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics. Preferred qualifications include previous experience with GA WIC program, knowledge of the current government dietary guidelines, 3 or more years experience in conducting nutrition education sessions and nutrition counseling, and licensed dietician.
