Special Education Teacher (grades 3-6)

Position The Aurora R-VIII School District is currently accepting applications for a full-time elementary special education teacher (grade 3-6) for the 2026-2027 school year. Aurora students attend school Monday-Thursday (four days a week only). Responsibilities Provide specialized services for students in the special education process. Differentiate instruction and provide strategies needed for student learning. Collaborate with others to develop plans that ensure learning. Utilize behavior strategies to help with significant behaviors. Document student progress and instructional plans. Qualifications Knowledge of the special education process. Strong communication skills. Ability to differentiate instruction. Certification in special education (beneficial) along with elementary education. Ability to collaborate with staff and support teams.
