Vet Hospital Practice Manager

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Administrative & Operational OversightManage day-to-day hospital operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory, vendor management, and facility maintenanceDevelop and implement hospital policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Ensure compliance with all applicable California Veterinary Medical Board, Cal/OSHA, and labor law regulationsOversee inventory ordering and cost control measuresSupervise facility cleanliness and equipment functionalityFinancial ManagementManage budgeting, payroll, and financial reportingWork with accountants and bookkeepers on monthly reconciliations and tax filingsHuman ResourcesOversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management for all staffMaintain legally compliant employee records and ensure adherence to California labor law (meal breaks, rest periods, wage statements, etc.)Foster a positive and respectful workplace cultureConduct staff meetings and training initiativesClient Service & MarketingMaintain excellent client service standards and resolve escalated client concernsSupport community outreach, social media, and local marketing initiativesBuild and maintain positive relationships with clients and the communityMinimum Requirements:3+ years of experience in veterinary management, hospital administration, or multi-site practice coordinationStrong leadership and team-building skillsWorking knowledge of California labor regulations and OSHA safety standardsProficiency in veterinary software, Idexx Ne,o and Microsoft OfficeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage budgets, scheduling, and conflict resolutionStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesBenefits:Competitive salary and performance bonusesMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Paid time off and sick leaveEmployee pet care discounts
