Social Media Coordinator

Dillard’s is seeking a highly organized, fashion-forward Social Media Coordinator to join our Corporate Digital Advertising team. In this role, you will manage day-to-day community engagement, produce short-form visual content, and update social marketing strategies based on real-time merchandise performance. The ideal candidate blends exceptional written communication and acute attention to detail with a passion for fashion, digital storytelling, and visual media.Location & Hours: This is a full-time, on-site position located at our Little Rock, Arkansas headquarters. A high level of attendance is required as an essential function of this position. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Community Engagement: Facilitate and actively engage in online conversations with customers, promptly responding to client queries, comments, and direct messages across all platforms. Content Creation & Strategy: Collaborate with the team to conceptualize, photograph, edit, and publish informative, appealing content, including short-form Reels and TikToks and guided by ongoing trend and audience research. Agile Campaign Management: Implement social strategy, oversee content schedules, and swiftly adjust promotional pushes based on real-time sales performance and merchandise priorities. Performance & Optimization: Measure the success of social media campaigns, monitor SEO and user engagement metrics, and propose data-driven content optimizations. Industry Best Practices: Stay up to date on the latest social media technologies, algorithm updates, and industry best practices to keep Dillard’s presence competitive. REQUIRED SKILLS Education: Undergraduate Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field. Industry Background: Professional background in retail, fashion, or business; hands-on e-Commerce environment experience is preferred. Industry Passion: Passionate about fashion, retail, and keeping up with the latest industry and aesthetic trends. Communication Skills: Strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation with impeccable proofreading abilities. Technical & Platform Proficiency: Active knowledge of major social media platforms, hands-on media production skills (photography/editing), and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Collaboration: Strong collaborative skill to work effectively within the digital marketing and e-Commerce teams on larger-scale projects. Adaptability & Organization: Proven ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with meticulous attention to detail. MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 2 Year s DESIRED SKILLS Hands-on experience as an active social media creator (personal brand or professional portfolio). Meta Certified Digital Marketing Associate or Media Planning/Buying Professional. Practical familiarity with shooting and editing high-quality product imagery.
