Job Purpose


The Platform Engineer will be responsible for CI/CD systems, cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, and Kubernetes. Additionally, they will work with development teams to provide tooling and standards to accelerate development.

Responsibilities (80s of the Position)

• Manage CI/CD infrastructure
• Own the infrastructure code for our cloud infrastructure
• Manage and tune Kubernetes clusters and workloads
• Provide standards and patterns development teams can use to accelerate their work
• Manage internal and external helm charts and their associated deployments
• Manage automated security scanning tools and respond to applicable findings
• Manage IoT infrastructure

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years working with Helm, Kubernetes and Terraform
• 3+ years working with cloud infrastructure
• 3+ years working with CI/CD tooling
• Experience with two or more programming languages
• Experience with secret management solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA
• Experience with automated testing
• Solid understanding of 12 Factor application methodogy

Preferred Experience

• Jenkins, especially Jenkins Configuration as Code
• ArgoCD
• Harness
• Observability platforms (Datadog, Dynatrace, Grafana, etc)
• Python
• NodeJS

Travel Requirements

• Occasional travel for team events
