Registered Nurse – ICU Float Pool (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days | 26-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | 75% Weekend Requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Float across multiple ICU settings including Neuro ICU, Surgical/Trauma ICU, Cardiac ICU, and CTICU based on clinical experience and unit need
• Provide direct patient care for ICU-level patients including sedated, intubated, and vasopressor-dependent patients at a 1:2 patient ratio
• Float to Intermediate Care (IMC) units as needed, maintaining a 1:3 patient ratio
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure outstanding patient safety and quality of care
• Adapt to varying unit assignments, potentially accepting multiple different assignments within a single shift
• Document all patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic medical records system

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Ability to care for sedated, intubated, and vasopressor-dependent ICU patients
• Flexibility to float across multiple ICU and IMC units within the same facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Cardiac, Neuro, Surgical, or Trauma ICU settings
• Strong interpersonal and team communication skills with a patient-centered care approach
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new environments and patient populations
