This is a Part-Time position (40 hours per pay period) with 8-hour day shifts on various days of the week, including weekend and holiday rotation. This position requires working every other weekend and 2-3 holidays per year. Position is located at Mercy San Diego Hospital. We invite you to join our team of Registered Nurses in the 36-bed Psychiatric Acute Unit where the RNs are responsible for: Providing direct patient care, observation and management of behavioral health patients. Assessment, plan and implement care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. Takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team. Manage de-escalation of behavioral disturbances.

Qualifications

• Preferred Experience/Education/Specialized Skills: Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Previous RN experience in Behavioral Health and/or ED experience
• Required Experience/Specialized Skills: 1 year experience. Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
• Required Certification/Registration: Current CA RN License Current BLS-C provider from American Heart Association
• Required Education/Course(s)/Training: Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
