Staff Accountant

Overview A highly reputable and well-established manufacturing and distribution company is seeking a Staff Senior Accountan t to join their team in Fort Lee, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable organization with a strong industry presence and a collaborative, team-oriented environment Position Overview This role will play a key part in the accounting function, supporting the monthly and year-end close processes while ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with month-end and year-end close process Prepare and post journal entries Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Support preparation of financial statements and internal reports Calculate and maintain sales tax filings and compliance Analyze financial data and assist with variance analysis Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership Maintain accurate and organized financial records Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred 2–5+ years of accounting experience (Staff or Senior level) Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments is a plus Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and close processes Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs a plus) Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to work on-site in Fort Lee, NJ Why Join?
