Operating Room Charge Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position. The shift schedule consists of 3x12-hour days from 06:45 AM to 07:15 PM, specifically on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with occasional late shifts on Fridays.

The Operating Room Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing the operations and staff within the surgical department. This role requires prior charge experience and a capability to manage a team effectively during surgical procedures. The charge nurse plays a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and quality care in the operating room.

Supervise and coordinate nursing staff in the operating room.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.

Assist in surgical procedures as needed and oversee patient care.

Manage patient flow and staff assignments to optimize surgical schedules.

Provide guidance and support to nursing staff and address any operational issues.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a charge nurse role.

Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required at the time of submission.

Valid OK or Compact RN license is required.

Previous experience in a community hospital setting preferred.
