Job Full Description We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator to join our growing team. This position is responsible for welding, fabricating, fitting, and assembling metal components from blueprints and shop drawings. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have experience using a variety of fabrication tools and equipment.
Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding on steel components and fabricated assembliesRead and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and shop drawingsMeasure, cut, fit, and assemble materials to specificationsGrind, clean, and prepare welds for final inspectionOperate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, torches, and other hand and power toolsInspect finished welds and parts to ensure quality standards are metMaintain a safe and organized work areaWork closely with production and fabrication teams to meet deadlines
Qualifications:
2+ years of MIG welding and fabrication experience preferredAbility to read blueprints and accurately use measuring toolsExperience with structural steel, frames, racks, conveyors, or similar fabricated products preferredStrong attention to detail and qualityAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environmentWelding certifications are a plus but not required Westland, MI
