Construction Design Specialist
Responsibilities - Construction Design Specialist

• Use Revit to develop detailed building plans and 3D models for residential and commercial projects.

• Create production drawings that clearly show dimensions, structural panel layouts, openings, electrical pathways, and connection details.

• Review architectural information and translate project requirements into accurate plans for manufacturing.

• Confirm measurements, material quantities, and building components before designs move into production.

• Coordinate project details with engineering, estimating, project management, and manufacturing teams.

• Make drawing revisions as projects develop and keep design files and project documentation organized.

• Review plans for inconsistencies or potential construction concerns before fabrication begins.

• Prepare drawings and supporting design information needed throughout the project.

• Manage design work for multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

• Complete occasional site visits when measurements or existing conditions need to be verified.

Qualifications - Construction Design Specialist

• Several years of professional drafting, building design, or related technical experience.

• Strong working knowledge of Revit and 3D modeling.

• Ability to understand architectural plans, construction specifications, measurements, and technical details.

• Education or professional training related to drafting, architecture, construction design, or a similar field is preferred.

• Background working with structural panels, prefabricated components, or other building systems is beneficial.

• Experience with construction methods used in Alaska or other cold-weather environments is valuable.

• Familiarity with SketchUp or comparable 3D modeling programs.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and time management.

• 3-5 years experience preferred
