This is a full-time, on-site contract position designed for the 2026-2027 school year, and welcomes travel professionals interested in making a difference in North Carolina.
As a key educational partner, you will provide targeted instruction and individualized support to help students reach their full potential. Your experience with special education techniques and your passion for facilitating growth will be central to creating a positive impact on your student's educational journey.
Candidates should bring the following qualifications and experience:
- Active North Carolina Special Education Teaching certification (required for consideration)
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a 1:1 setting
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, adaptations, and progress monitoring
- Ability to collaborate closely with parents, general education teachers, and support staff
- Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver direct instruction to assigned student(s), adapting methods as necessary
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to maximize achievement
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and legal standards
- Communicate regularly with families and team members regarding progress and goals
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
