Overview & Highlights The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as a Financial Aid Advisor. The Incumbent under the direction of an assigned manager, interviews and advises students and determines financial need and program eligibility for work, loans, grants and scholarships. Job Details Current Vacancy: Grossmont College Type of position: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary: Range CL-35 $27.77 - $34.73 Hourly $4,814 - $6,020 Monthly (based on 40 hours per week) Initial Salary Placement: New employees start at Step A ($27.77 per hour) or B ($29.37 per hour) on the salary schedule. Minimum Qualifications Associate Degree or equivalent in business, accounting, social services or related field. Increasingly responsible financial aid experience including training in need analysis and financial aid packaging. Expertise in operating computer databases and multifaceted software programs in an efficient and effective manner. Responsibilities The Financial Aid Advisor will interview and advise students and determine financial need and program eligibility for work, loans, grants and scholarships. The Advisor will be responsible for providing accurate information and support to students seeking financial assistance.
