This developer will contribute to the creation of backend microservices, integrations, and APIs that power critical business functions across the platform.Key initiatives include:Building scalable Node.js microservices in a cloud environmentExpanding API functionality across multiple applications and servicesSupporting platform modernization efforts through containerization and cloud technologiesEnhancing application performance, reliability, and maintainabilityContributing to CI/CD and automated testing practicesCollaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver new customer-facing capabilitiesRequired Skills1-3+ years of professional software development experienceHands-on experience with Node.jsExperience with JavaScript (ES6+) and/or TypeScriptExperience building and consuming REST APIsUnderstanding of asynchronous programming concepts, promises, and the Node.js event loopExperience working with SQL or NoSQL databasesFamiliarity with Docker or containerized applicationsKnowledge of software testing practices including unit and integration testingExperience working within an Agile development environmentStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsPreferred SkillsExperience with AWS services, including LambdaExposure to microservices architectureExperience with React, Angular, or other modern JavaScript frameworksFamiliarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLabExperience supporting production applications in a cloud environmentIdeal CandidateBackend-focused developer with a passion for Node.js and API developmentComfortable working within distributed systems and modern web architecturesMotivated to learn new technologies and contribute to innovative solutionsEnjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challengesPassionate about writing clean, maintainable, and scalable codeJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
