Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 Year of Med-Surg/Cardiac/Telemetry Experience License: Active RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, BLS Required Must-Have: Cardiac Telemetry Experience Description: Direct med/surg/telemetry patient care. Shift: 12-hour night shift (18:45 - 07:15) Friday, Saturday, and Sunday block schedule. Ratios: 1:4-5. First-timers accepted. Weekend coverage required. May be required to float within facility as needed. Travelers may float within service line. Patients include acutely ill med/surg patients transitioning from ICU and cardiac patients requiring telemetry monitoring. Clinical tasks include managing cardiac drips and vasoactive drips, bi-level positive airway pressure management, and blood product administration. Must be proficient in the interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, and oxygen administration. Experience with starting and maintaining IVs and telemetry preferred. Work requirements include managing medications, including antiarrhythmic medications and heparin protocols. Compliance deadline for required documents is established. Fit testing may be necessary for travelers. All required certifications should be obtained by the compliance deadline.
