Regional Director of Operations - North East

POSITION SUMMARY The Regional Director of Operations with Evolution Well Services (EVO) is responsible for the overall leadership and operational excellence of fleet activities within their assigned region. This role oversees comprehensive fleet operations, including asset utilization, maintenance, dispatch, and lifecycle cost management, while ensuring safety, compliance, and alignment with company and client expectations. The Regional Director of Operations partners across functions—Procurement, Finance, Engineering, and Data Technology—to manage assets, control costs, and drive continuous improvements in fleet performance, automation, and digital integration. They are accountable for budget planning, personnel leadership, and cultivating a culture of safety, accountability, and service quality. Acting as both a leader and an ambassador of EVO culture, the Regional Director of Operations provides direction and mentorship to Operations Managers and field personnel, actively engages with customers to support operational goals, and ensures that all fleet activities operate to the highest standard of safety, efficiency, and integrity. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Fleet Operations Management Oversee and manage all aspects of the assigned EVO fleets, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with regulations. Asset Management Monitor and optimize repair and maintenance (R&M) costs, manage capital expenditures (CAPEX), and control cost of goods sold (COGS). Partner with Procurement to streamline and optimize the supply chain of parts, maintain critical spare inventory, and ensure accountability for transfers and work orders. Safety and Compliance Promote a culture of safety by actively engaging with employees, fostering open communication in alignment with our core values. Participate in company safety initiatives, adhering to policies and procedures to ensure the well‑being of all employees and operational excellence. Enforce safety procedures for fleet operations, prepare and maintain accurate records on unit service work, and ensure compliance with company and customer expectations. Financial Planning and Budgeting Collaborate with Accounting and Finance to project and maintain annual fleet budgets for R&M, CAPEX, and COGS. Communicate goals and align with executive objectives to support financial planning and operational strategies. Personnel Management Supervise Fleet Managers, mentor and monitor field personnel performance and progression, and hold field personnel accountable for maintaining a culture of safety and service quality. Create long‑term and short‑term goals for the fleets, set milestones and timelines, and manage projects assigned to the fleets. Customer and Stakeholder Communication Communicate directly with customers to ensure their needs are met, provide instructions on proper procedures, and ensure alignment with EVO’s digital and operational goals. Partner with the Operations, Power Generation, and Asset Integrity teams to plan logistics of jobs and collaborate with the Data Technology Team to meet digital goals. Continuous Improvement Develop and implement automation solutions to enhance control system capabilities and optimize vehicle management processes. Analyze system behavior, prepare reports and documentation, and contribute to continuous process improvements. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship. Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Successfully passes all applicable general pre‑employment testing, including background check, pre‑employment drug screening, pre‑employment fit tests, pre‑employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s). Valid U.S. Driver’s License required; most employment contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3‑year U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL U.S. High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree or 7‑10 years of supervisory experience in hydraulic fracturing. An equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree. Previous well control experience preferred. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES High proficiency with Microsoft Office products and digital platforms like PowerBI and PowerApps. Advanced verbal and written communication skills. Ability to organize, direct projects to completion, and build relationships with customers and co‑workers. Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to make critical decisions, and manage stress. Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT The Regional Director of Operations works both indoors and outdoors, often visiting well sites or warehouse environments. The role requires walking, sitting, climbing, bending, and lifting heavy objects (up to 49lbs. independently, and 50‑100lbs. with assistance). The FSM must adhere to safety policies and wear mandated PPE. Work hours may include early mornings, late afternoons, evenings, and weekends based on job demands. Work hours may include or includes early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
