Position Weekend Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift 7:00 pm–7:00 am) – Respiratory Therapist II Location: Wellstar Paulding Hospital, Hiram, GA Shift: Night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am), weekend duties. Overview This role involves delivering patient care in critical care settings, performing ventilator management, providing education, and participating in staff development. Responsibilities Complete patient care, documentation, and patient education Collaborate with health‑care team in planning and coordinating patient care Verify orders and administer aerosolized medication, bronchial hygiene, volume expansion, oxygen and medical gas therapy Manage ventilators, perform weaning, wave‑form graphic interpretation, and airway management (intubation, extubation, tracheal tube change and care) Perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis Assist with invasive and non‑invasive procedures, cardiac service procedures, pulmonary diagnostic testing Promote patient safety, medication safety, NPSG, and performance improvement initiatives Provide quality electronic orders, charting, and charging Educate patients and mentor new employees, students and peers Participate in staff development and professional and self‑development activities Perform other duties as assigned Comply with WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct Qualifications Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with at least 20 quarter hours of science Associate’s Degree (A.S.) required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred 0–2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care Registered Respiratory Therapist license required Respiratory Care Professional, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required Excellent communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer/database skills Strong customer relations skills and ability to establish and maintain relationships with physicians and other health‑care professionals Benefits Sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance available for qualified, experienced candidates. #J-18808-Ljbffr
