Manufacturing Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC machines, lathes, and mills to meet daily and long-term production goals.
• Set up machines for various production runs, including configuring parameters and verifying correct operation before starting production.
• Perform routine tooling changes and changeovers to support different parts and product lines.
• Carry out calibrations and setups to ensure machines produce parts within required tolerances.
• Conduct in-process inspections by measuring parts such as diameters, depths, and grooves to verify compliance with blueprints and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining and inspection.
• Monitor product quality throughout the production run and make necessary adjustments to maintain specification standards.
• Perform routine Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities on equipment to keep machines in optimal working condition.
• Clear jams and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Monitor and maintain proper levels of machine fluids, including oil and coolant, and report any abnormalities.
• Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues and collaborate with maintenance personnel on repairs when needed.
• Use hand tools and mechanical skills to perform basic maintenance repairs and adjustments.
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Document production and inspection activities as required by internal procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with a strong interest in equipment operation and maintenance.
• Comfort working with preventive maintenance practices and procedures.
• Capability to support maintenance repairs under guidance from maintenance or engineering staff.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment, processes, and technologies in a manufacturing setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Winchester, KY.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Winchester,KY.
