Gas Survey Technician - Wichita Falls

Job Description Southern Cross is hiring for a full‑time Gas Leak Survey Technician to inspect gas lines and pipes to determine the origin and severity of a gas leak. The role includes driving a company vehicle during the work week and the possibility of using a personal vehicle during a 4‑5 week paid training program. Training covers accurately detecting and classifying natural gas leaks, walking five or more miles per day, and working outdoors in all weather conditions and various environments including vehicular traffic, residential and commercial sites, rural areas, sidewalks, alleyways, and at times encountering dogs or wildlife. Responsibilities & Duties Travel up to 75% of the time, including occasional weekends. Be mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot technology as needed. Drive in all weather conditions. Adhere to all safety and quality policies and procedures. Complete classroom or online training and pass all qualification tests for this role. Physical and Additional Requirements Bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking several miles per day. Carry a minimum of 20lb. of equipment. Communicate with customers in a courteous manner and provide excellent customer service. Follow all company/client procedures. Be available for overtime, which may include weekends. Use computers and technology comfortably. What You Will Earn Starting pay is $20.25 per hour, increasing by $0.50 after 60 and 180 days.
