Associate Delivery at One Trenton, New Jersey

disABLEDperson Inc

Associate Delivery Manager

The Associate Delivery Manager is developing the craft of disciplined agile delivery under the guidance of experienced delivery leaders. Reporting to the Manager, IT Project Management (or VP, Delivery Management), this role supports delivery execution on workstreams and Tier-2/3 projects, learns and applies Disciplined Agile processes and practices, and grows toward independent initiative ownership. You are building the foundation - learning to see the system, measure what matters, and deliver value through flow.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: A developing delivery practitioner accountable to:

  • Learn disciplined agile delivery values, patterns, and practices through direct application on real delivery work - not just coursework.
  • Support delivery teams in executing against defined plans, coordinating activities, and maintaining delivery health visibility.
  • Grow toward independent initiative ownership by progressively taking on more complex delivery challenges with increasing autonomy.

Delivery Execution 70%- Support end-to-end delivery of assigned workstreams or Tier-2/3 projects; maintain alignment to initiative milestones and dependencies. Maintain delivery plans, track progress, and coordinate team activities using Disciplined Agile methods; facilitate planning, reviews/demos, and retrospective. Track and report flow metrics (cycle time, throughput, WIP) for assigned workstreams; understand what the metrics reveal about delivery health. Identify and flag risks to value and quality; propose mitigations and escalate with context and options. Apply SDLC/PDLC controls and Change Management practices as directed; develop fluency in compliance and risk frameworks.

Communication & Stakeholder Support- 10% Prepare status materials and delivery artifacts for leadership review; learn to translate delivery reality into concise, decision-relevant updates. Support senior delivery leaders in stakeholder coordination; observe and learn executive-level communication patterns. Contribute to team information radiators and dashboards; ensure data accuracy and timeliness.

Learning & Delivery Excellence - 20% Actively participate in the Delivery Management Community of Practice; apply playbooks, patterns, and lessons learned from the CoP. Pursue continuous improvement within assigned workstreams, drive improvement from data and retros, not ceremony compliance. Develop fluency in lean and agile principles: pull-based systems, WIP limits, batch size reduction, and continuous delivery - understand why, not just how. Seek and apply coaching from Senior DMs and the delivery leadership team.

Educational and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Information Systems, Engineering) or equivalent experience. 2-4 years of experience in delivery, product, or engineering roles with direct exposure to lean/agile delivery environments. Demonstrated understanding of flow-based delivery concepts: cycle time, throughput, WIP, pull systems. Experience coordinating work across technical and business team members.

Strongly Preferred: Healthcare, insurance, or other regulated-industry experience. Foundational agile certifications (ICAgile ICP, KMP, PSM, or equivalent) - evidence of learning orientation over credential collecting. Experience working within Disciplined Agile, Kanban, or continuous delivery environments.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Emerging delivery practitioner- developing skills in facilitation, coordination, and team support with a bias toward action and learning. Curiosity-driven approach to understanding delivery systems; asks "why" before "how." Ability to track, organize, and communicate delivery information clearly and accurately. Collaborative team member who takes ownership of assigned work and follows through on commitments. Receptive to coaching and feedback demonstrates visible growth over time. Developing judgment - knows what to escalate, when to ask for help, and how to frame a question. Ability to work in an environment that aligns with the company's diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging standards. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Demonstrate our core values of Think Big, Go Fast, Deliver Awe, Win Together and Care Deeply.

Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment: This position will be performed in the colleague's home. Work-from-home requirements include the colleague's ability to set up computer equipment within their home office. Occasional in-person team meetings may be required depending on the position. This job is primarily sedentary and may involve repetitive motions; the colleague must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time, operate a computer and other office equipment, assess information and files stored electronically, and converse/exchange accurate information with others, simultaneously. The colleague must be able to discern text displayed on a monitor, input data into specific fields using a keyboard, and adjust focus to distances of up to three feet. The colleague must have the ability to learn new tasks, follow established processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, complete multiple tasks simultaneously, communicate professionally with colleagues and customers, and complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity requirement. The colleague must be able to manage moderate to significant mental stress as a result of, but not limited to, a dynamic and heavy workload.

Please be advised that job descriptions typically change over time as business needs, job requirements, and employee skill levels change. As such, One Call retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position at any time.
