Location: Oakland, CA – 100% Onsite
Contract Length: 6 Months

Oxford Solutions is seeking a Supply Chain Materials Planner for a 6-month contract opportunity supporting a technology-focused organization in Oakland, CA. This position will support project-based material planning, purchasing coordination, supplier activity, logistics, and delivery scheduling.

This is a 100% onsite position. Candidates must be able to commute to the Oakland, CA job location for the duration of the assignment. Relocation assistance is not available.

Important Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• This is a W-2 contract position through Oxford Solutions.
• No C2C, subcontract, or third-party arrangements.
• Must be available to work onsite in Oakland, CA.
• Candidates must already be within commuting distance or be able to relocate independently prior to starting.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate material and service requirements against project schedules and delivery milestones.
• Track material availability, purchase requirements, supplier commitments, and delivery dates.
• Support purchasing requests and external cost planning for materials, services, and subcontracted work.
• Work with procurement, engineering, logistics, and project teams to resolve material or scheduling issues.
• Assist with material forecasts, inventory reporting, shipping documentation, and logistics planning.
• Monitor supplier and internal deliverables to identify potential schedule risks.
• Support production and purchasing activities based on changing project requirements.
• Maintain accurate supply chain documentation, reports, and project planning information.
• Assist senior supply chain personnel with larger or more complex projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Approximately 2-5 years of experience in supply chain planning, materials planning, procurement, logistics, purchasing, or a related function.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, transportation, rail, industrial, or other project-driven environments is preferred.
• Understanding of purchase orders, material requirements, supplier coordination, inventory, and delivery tracking.
• Experience working with ERP, procurement, or supply chain management systems preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, logistics, and project teams.

This position is best suited for a hands-on supply chain professional who is comfortable working onsite and supporting material execution within a project-driven technical environment.
