Job Summary and Responsibilities Qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct RN experience are eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus!* *To be eligible for the sign-on bonus, you must be hired into a full-time or part-time position; PRN positions are not eligible. Our Night Shift RN positions qualify for a $5.75/hr differential from 11pm to 7am. You must live within 30 minutes or less of the facility for On-Call requirements. This is required and cannot be changed in any capacity. PACU Unit Description At Longmont United Hospital, the Preop, PACU, GI, and Infusion departments are co-located, fostering a highly collaborative and team-oriented culture. Staff members often take on multiple responsibilities while specializing in one area, offering opportunities for diverse experience. Our Endoscopy unit features two suites, performing an average of 170 procedures monthly running five days a week. Outpatient Infusion services manage 5-15 patients daily. We have six operating rooms, handling approximately 175 surgeries per month, including general, orthopedic, ophthalmologic, urologic, ENT, and plastic surgeries, with robotic assistance. As a Registered Nurse you will assume responsibility and accountability for: Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through the use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values. Job Requirements In addition to bringing HumanKindness to the workplace each day, qualified nursing candidates will need the following: Education Requirements Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or endorsement accepted. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs. Experience Requirements One year of RN experience required within the PACU setting. Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty. Licenses/Certification Requirements RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact. Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi‑state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency. Physical Requirements Medium Work – Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, up to 20lbs frequently, and up to 10lbs constantly.
