Client Engagement Specialist | High-Performance Sales

Location: New Orleans, LA
Compensation: $60,000–$125,000 annually (base salary + performance bonuses)

At Phillips Law, LLC, we're looking for a driven, competitive, and highly skilled Client Engagement Specialist who knows how to turn conversations into commitments.

The Client Engagement team plays a critical role in connecting individuals with the legal representation they need. We value urgency, accountability, professionalism, and results.

This isn't a management position. We're looking for a proven sales professional who loves being on the front lines, connecting with prospective clients, overcoming objections, and closing deals.

When someone is facing criminal charges, choosing the right legal representation is one of the most important decisions they'll make. Your job is to build trust quickly, communicate the value of our services, and help prospective clients confidently take the next step.

This is a performance-driven sales role for someone who:

Compensation: You'll receive a $60,000 base salary plus performance bonuses, with total annual earning potential of $60,000–$125,000.

• Convert leads into clients: Engage with prospective clients, identify their needs, communicate the value of our legal services, and consistently convert qualified opportunities into signed clients.

• Own your sales performance: Meet and exceed individual sales targets, conversion goals, and other key performance indicators.

• Master the sales conversation: Build trust quickly, ask insightful questions, handle objections confidently, and guide prospective clients toward making a decision.

• Follow up relentlessly: Maintain consistent, professional follow-up with prospective clients to maximize conversion opportunities and minimize lost leads.

• Create urgency and confidence: Help prospective clients understand the importance of timely legal representation without using pressure tactics or making unrealistic promises.

• Manage your pipeline: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales opportunities, and follow-up activities in the CRM.

• Continuously improve: Actively seek feedback, refine sales techniques, and consistently look for ways to improve individual conversion rates and overall performance.

• Deliver an exceptional client experience: Balance strong sales execution with genuine empathy, professionalism, and respect for individuals facing difficult legal circumstances.

• Maintain ethical standards: Follow all applicable legal and ethical guidelines, including avoiding legal advice, guaranteeing outcomes, or making misleading representations.

We're looking for proven sales producers, not sales managers.

• Demonstrated sales success: A proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding individual sales quotas, preferably in a high-volume, consultative, or inside-sales environment.

• Strong closing ability: Confidence in asking for the sale, navigating objections, and converting interested prospects into paying clients.

• Competitive mindset: A strong desire to win, exceed targets, and be recognized and rewarded for outstanding individual performance.

• Excellent communication skills: Ability to establish rapport quickly, listen actively, and communicate clearly and persuasively.

• Resilience and persistence: Comfortable handling objections, rejection, and challenging conversations without losing momentum.

• Self-motivation and accountability: Takes full ownership of personal results without needing constant supervision or external motivation.

• Strong follow-up discipline: Understands that consistent follow-through is essential to maximizing sales conversions.

• Adaptability: Able to respond quickly to changing client needs, handle multiple opportunities, and perform under pressure.

• Integrity and professionalism: Understands how to balance a results-driven sales approach with the sensitivity required when working with criminal defense clients.

Preferred

• Experience in legal services, professional services, high-ticket sales, or other consultative sales environments.

• Experience handling inbound leads and converting consultations into paying clients.

• Familiarity with CRM systems, sales pipelines, and conversion metrics.

• A history of ranking in the top 10–20% of sales performers within a previous organization.
