Psychiatrists - Crisis Care Center Full Time

Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the Psychiatrist will perform clinical duties and activities as directed, covering the continuum of intensive crisis stabilization services (ICSS) including Crisis Stabilization Unit, Behavioral Health Urgent Care, and Mobile Crisis Services.

Principal duties and responsibilities include flexibility in scheduling, direct clinical/patient care duties, coordination of medical services, evidence-based best practice standards, compliance with licensing regulations, determination of medical necessity, supervision of care activities, clinical documentation, and participation in clinical and administrative meetings.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include knowledge of accreditation standards, DWIHN policies, medical and behavioral health practices, compliance standards, leadership, training, assessment, organizational, attention to detail, planning, analytical, clinical documentation, report writing, decision making, critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, teaching, computer, teamwork, oral and written communication, and the ability to work with diverse populations.

Required education includes a medical degree and board certification in psychiatry. Experience requirements include two years of professional experience in the treatment of behavioral health problems. Required licenses include a valid Michigan license to practice as a physician, a Michigan controlled substance license, a Drug Enforcement Agency registration, and a valid State of Michigan driver's license with a safe and acceptable driving record.

Work is usually performed at the Crisis Care Center but may require the employee to drive to different sites throughout Wayne County and the State of Michigan.
