Iris's client, a large Payroll company, is currently searching for a strong for an SRE Engineer based in Alpharetta, GA or Roseland, NJ for a contractual role .

Job title: SRE Engineer

Location: Hybrid- 3 days onsite (Alpharetta, GA or Roseland, NJ)

Duration: 24 months

Job Description:

Senior engineer to support the client’s AWS platform, with strong Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD and SRE experience.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Design, provision and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform (modules, state management, multi-environment setups)
\n
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments
\n
• Provide ongoing AWS platform support: troubleshooting, incident response, patching and capacity management
\n
• Apply SRE practices: monitoring, alerting, SLOs, reliability and performance tuning
\n
• Automate operational tasks and reduce manual toil
\n
• Partner with development teams on deployment, scalability and security best practices
\n

Must-Have Skills

\n
• 10+ years in infrastructure/DevOps/SRE, with deep hands-on AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, EKS/ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch)
\n
• Strong Terraform scripting and IaC experience
\n
• CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or AWS CodePipeline)
\n
• Production support and on-call experience in an SRE role
\n
• Scripting in Python, Bash or similar
\n
