Job Title Restaurant Crew Member Location 220 Harrison Ave., Kearny, New Jersey 07032 Overview As a Restaurant Crew Member, you play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. You will work as part of a team delivering exceptional customer service, preparing food items, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and contributing to a positive dining experience for guests. Key Responsibilities Customer Service: greet customers warmly and assist them in placing their orders, provide recommendations and answer questions about menu items, ensure prompt and courteous service. Food Preparation and Assembly: prepare and assemble food and beverage items according to restaurant recipes and standards, ensure timely service, maintain proper portion control and presentation. Cleaning and Sanitation: maintain cleanliness and organization of dining area, kitchen, and service areas, follow sanitation guidelines and food safety procedures, assist with dishwashing and equipment cleaning. Teamwork and Communication: work collaboratively with team members, communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers and management regarding orders or issues, support fellow members during busy periods. Compliance and Policies: adhere to all company policies and procedures, follow health and safety guidelines, report maintenance or safety issues promptly. Upselling and Promotion: inform customers about special promotions, new menu items, upselling opportunities, encourage participation in loyalty programs. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Willingness to learn and follow instructions, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk and move around the restaurant for extended periods.
