Laboratory Technician

Immediate opening for a Laboratory Technician located in Chanhassen, MN (Onsite).
Details for the position are as follows:
Job Description:
- Conducts all R&D laboratory work in a safe manner including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), adherence to site safety practices, use of laboratory equipment, 5S, etc.
- Assists in maintaining project time-lines.
- Provides support for various projects assigned by Engineers and/or Supervisor.
- Employs basic problem solving skill-sets to overcome project bottlenecks and maintain project deliverable dates.
- Collects and organizes data in a coherent format. Communicates basic observations regarding data and/or experimental outcome.
- Expected to train other Technicians regarding equipment operation and/or test procedures.
- Ability to perform routine tests and operate application equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to identify abnormalities in collected data and/or project work.
- May take on equipment ownership and responsible for maintaining safe operation of the assigned equipment.
- Intra-departmental submission of presentations and/or reports.
- Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40hrs./week
- Pay Rate: $20 - 25/Hour
- Degree/Years of Experience Required:
- High School Diploma/GED, with 1+ Years of Industry Laboratory Experience
- Bachelor Degree , Preferred (Discipline/Lab Courses in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, etc.)
- Comfortable handling and working with chemicals
- Able to wear PPE and comply with Lab Safety protocols
- Analytical Chemistry technique, A Plus!
- Contract to Start, conversion/extension on performance
