Our projects require a high level of coordination, precision, and technical execution — and our in-house drafting and BIM capabilities are a critical part of that success.We are seeking a BIM / AutoCAD Draftsman who is equally comfortable producing detailed 2D shop drawings and managing 3D BIM models in a fast-paced construction environment. This role will require part-time participation in the Apopka office.Position OverviewThis role is responsible for developing and maintaining both 2D AutoCAD shop drawings and 3D BIM models for commercial pool construction projects. You will play a key role in project coordination, attending weekly BIM coordination meetings and serving as the company’s representative in those discussions.This position requires strong communication skills and daily collaboration with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure drawings accurately reflect field conditions and evolving project requirements.In addition to drafting responsibilities, this role will support the estimating team with takeoffs, vendor coordination, and data organization.Key ResponsibilitiesDrafting & ModelingProduce detailed 2D AutoCAD shop drawings, including:Pipe runs and system layoutsEquipment room layoutsFormwork drawingsRadii and specialty layoutsAnchor and embed layoutsAs-built documentationDevelop and maintain 3D BIM modelsfor piping systems and coordinationUpdate models and drawings to reflect as-built field conditionsEnsure accuracy and constructability of all drawingsCoordination & CommunicationAttend and actively participate in weekly BIM coordination meetingsServe as the company’s technical representative during coordinationCommunicate daily with Project Managers and SuperintendentsTranslate field conditions into accurate drawings and model updatesCollaborate with other trades to resolve clashes and conflictsEstimating SupportAssist the estimating department with:Material takeoffsVendor and subcontractor quote requestsData compilation for project proposalsOrganize and present data in a clear, usable format for the Lead EstimatorRequirementsProficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting)Strong experience with 3D BIM modeling(BIM 360 or similar platforms)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Experience producing construction shop drawingsStrong understanding of construction systems and coordination workflowsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentHigh attention to detail and accuracyPreferred QualificationsExperience in commercial construction or mechanical/plumbing systemsExperience with aquatic or pool-related systems (highly preferred but not required)Familiarity with coordination processes across multiple tradesWhat This Role OffersExposure to complex, large-scale commercial projectsA collaborative environment with direct field interactionOpportunity to play a critical role in both design coordination and preconstructionGrowth potential within a specialized construction nicheEmployment DetailsFull-time positionCompetitive compensation based on experienceOpportunities for advancementIf you are a technically skilled draftsman who enjoys both design and real-world construction coordination — and wants to see your work built in the field — we encourage you to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
