Job Details Specialty: Labor & Delivery Nursing Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse / Travel RN Location: Midland, Texas Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week Weekly Hours: 36 Contract Duration: 16 weeks Start Date: 09/08/2026 Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370 Charting System: Cerner preferred Unit Focus: Labor, delivery, triage, antepartum, circulation, and transition care Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience Previous charge nurse experience required Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and NIHSS certifications required AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate strongly preferred Experience with fetal monitoring, vaginal delivery support, and circulating for C-sections Ability to rotate unit assignments and support antepartum coverage as needed Comfort working in a fast-paced obstetrics unit with fluctuating census Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality patient care in labor and delivery, triage, antepartum, and transition settings Support vaginal deliveries, assist with C-sections, and deliver care throughout the childbirth process Monitor fetal status using external and internal fetal monitoring equipment Perform nursing interventions including IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency obstetric support Complete assessments, documentation, and patient education with accuracy and compassion Collaborate with physicians, providers, and the clinical care team to promote excellent patient outcomes Provide supportive care to patients and families during one of life's most important moments Apply now for this Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse job in Midland, Texas, and join a team dedicated to exceptional women's health care.
