Sports Reporter Full-Time Regular [30 or more hrs/wk] Professionals Tenn & NC - Maryville, Alcoa, TN, US The Daily Times is seeking an energetic and dedicated reporter to cover sports in Blount and surrounding counties. The job includes game coverage, features, preps notebook, enterprise reporting, and selecting high school all‑star teams by sport. In addition, the job includes covering Maryville College and University of Tennessee sports. The candidate must be comfortable with taking photos and video, and must be adept at using social media both for storytelling and to find story ideas. The job requires regularly working nights and occasionally working weekends. The fringe benefits include medical (split between employer and employee), dental and vision options (employee paid). There are three company‑sponsored benefits, including short‑term disability, long‑term disability and a term life insurance policy. The company pays for six major holidays.
