Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 0-1 year clinical nursing experience required License: Registered Nurse License required Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS required Must-Have: Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred Description: Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care. Assesses patients and makes clinical decisions regarding nursing care. Ensures nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner. Provides individualized nursing care and evaluates nursing care for groups of patients. Maintains accurate and detailed reports and records. Administers medications to patients and monitors them for reactions or side effects. Records patients' medical information and vital signs. Monitors, records, and reports symptoms or changes in patients' conditions. Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans. Modifies patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions. Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment. Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is provided. Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information. Knowledge of medical terminology. Excellent verbal and communication skills. Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients. Physical Requirements: Standing frequently. Walking frequently. Sitting occasionally.
