Location: North Chicago, IL 60064
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Employment Type: W2 Contract – 12 Months
Work Location: 100% Onsite
Schedule: Multiple shift options available

Role Overview

BEPC Inc. is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Warehouse Associate to support our client's warehouse and distribution operations in North Chicago, Illinois.

In this role, you will be responsible for receiving materials, counting and sorting inventory, picking and packing orders, and supporting dock operations. The ideal candidate has at least two years of relevant work experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, count, sort, and accurately record large, heavy-weight stock and materials.
• Support daily warehouse operations, including receiving dock activities and dock processing.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper material handling.
• Work within a quality-controlled material handling environment.
• Follow all warehouse safety policies and operating procedures.
• Maintain an organized and efficient work area.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
• Perform frequent reaching, bending, walking, standing, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Support additional warehouse and distribution activities as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous work experience , preferably in warehouse, distribution, or related operations.
• Strong and consistent work history demonstrating reliability and initiative.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Safety-focused mindset and ability to follow established procedures.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in hot or cold warehouse conditions.
• Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toe shoes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous distribution center or third-party logistics (3PL) experience.
• Experience working in a quality-controlled material environment.
• Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment, such as:
• Cherry pickers
• Order pickers
• Pacer/dock stockers
• Turret trucks, including equipment operated at heights
• Stand-up forklifts

Important Forklift Training Requirement

All new hires must successfully complete the client's required forklift training before they are permitted to operate forklift equipment. This training process may take six months or longer , regardless of previous forklift experience or certification.

Work Schedule & Location

Available Shift Schedules

• Option 1: Four 10-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Option 2: Five-day schedule, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Shift assignments and specific workdays will be confirmed during the hiring process.

This is a non-exempt position. Hours worked over 40 per workweek are paid at time and a half ($31.50 per hour).

Please review the onsite work location and commuting distance before applying. Steel-toe shoes are required in the warehouse.
