Overview
Ultrasound Technologist (Sonography) – Newport, Vermont
Travel assignment in a critical access hospital setting. Start date 09/28/2026 for a 24-week assignment. Weekly pay range $2,232 to $2,379 per week with guaranteed hours of 36. Shift: Days (Monday–Friday). This position is a travel - temporary assignment managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including specialty studies, with accuracy and clinical relevance
- Operate ultrasound equipment, optimize image quality, and ensure proper patient positioning and safety
- Obtain appropriate patient history, document findings, measurements, and impressions according to department guidelines
- Maintain equipment readiness, perform basic quality control, and ensure a clean and safe exam room
- Communicate clearly with radiologists, physicians, and other members of the care team; provide patient education and support as needed
- Work independently within the department, adhering to established protocols and patient care standards

Requirements
- Ability to work independently in a smaller hospital setting
- Experience performing a variety of ultrasound exams and appreciation for specialty imaging
- Licensure and/or certification as required for ultrasound practice (per state and employer guidelines)
- Eligibility to participate in a travel assignment and comply with start date and duration
- Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care
