Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including schematics, P&IDs, and single‑line diagrams. Proficiency with lab measurement tools, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and electronic loads. Strong understanding of strict electrical safety standards, including LOTO protocols and NFPA 70E / NEC. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating in fusion, accelerator, or specialized industrial R&D environments. Familiarity with high‑voltage and medium‑voltage distribution equipment (transformers, protective relays, switchgear). Hands‑on experience with PCB rework, fine‑pitch soldering, and analog/mixed‑signal circuit troubleshooting. Familiarity with mechanical integration, including cable trays, conduit bending, heat sink layouts, and cooling solutions. Tools & Platforms Measurement & Lab Tools: Oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, signal generators, logic analyzers, and electronic loads. Assembly Tools: Soldering stations, crimpers, wire strippers, and general hand/power tools for mechanical integration. Documentation: Microsoft 365, SharePoint, JIRA, and familiarity with navigating CAD outputs (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
