We are creating a brand-new role for someone who is passionate about AI and excited to put it to work solving real problems. We have been growing over the last few years and are now a firm of about 85+ people, so there is enormous opportunity to make an impact across every corner of the firm. As our first AI Enablement Lead, you'll be the person our teams call when they have an AI need. This role will help turn AI from something people are curious about into something that measurably improves our work, our client service, and our teammates' day-to-day.

This is a hands-on, build-from-scratch role that sits at the intersection of builder, educator, and trusted advisor. There's no team beneath you for now, so you'll wear every hat while partnering closely with leadership, IT, and team leads across the firm. There is definitely potential for growth in this role as this is a new department and initiative of the firm.

The Skill Set

• 3+ years in public accounting, professional services, or a similarly complex, client-focused environment
• Hands-on experience building with generative AI tools over the past year or two with a track record of turning that work into real, measurable impact.
• Experience with prompting, low-code agents, and rapid prototyping.
• Comfort integrating AI into everyday tools and systems, including familiarity with platforms like Anthropic Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or OpenAI, and with modern integration patterns (e.g. APIs, MCP).
• Proven ability to design and deliver training and drive adoption of new technology with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, practical language that any teammate can act on.
• Exceptional communication and presence, with a demonstrated ability to build trust and represent new ideas well to firm leadership and staff alike.
• A strong sense of ownership and comfort operating as a team of one. Self-directed, resourceful, and able to carry an initiative from strategy through execution.
• Sound judgment around responsible, secure, and ethical use of AI, especially with confidential client information.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills and strong attention to detail.
• Team player, client focused, and quality in detailed work.

Within 1 Month, You'll

• Complete new hire orientation and onboarding.
• Complete introductory training and familiarize yourself with how the firm works day to day.
• Begin learning our core systems and tools, including our tax and accounting software (e.g. CCH Axcess, CCH Engagement), document management, and CRM.
• Begin growing your internal network by meeting with Supervisors, Managers, and Partners across departments.
• Being listening and learning from teams to understand their workflows, pain points, and where time is being lost to repetitive work.
• Begin cataloging early AI and automation opportunities as you hear them.

Within 6 Months, You'll

• Turn your discovery work into a prioritized backlog of AI opportunities, with clear problem statements, success metrics, and rough ROI hypotheses.
• Launch your first hands-on pilots: building or configuring AI tools, agents, or workflows against the highest-value opportunities.
• Set quality, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop standards.
• Deliver your first workshops, demos, and lunch-and-learns to raise AI literacy and build momentum across teams.
• Partner with IT and leadership to establish responsible-use guardrails and help staff understand the difference between public, internal, and confidential data.
• Complete your 30-60-90 Day onboarding plan.
• Have two Quarterly Conversations with your leader.

Within 12 Months, You'll

• Move proven pilots into everyday use to embed AI into the workflows where it delivers the most value.
• Build a library of prompts, quick-reference guides, and reusable playbooks.
• Capture real GEMRT success stories to drive adoption through social proof.
• Serve as the firm's go-to resource for AI questions, hesitations, and safe-use guidance.
• Identify and pursue opportunities where AI can improve client-facing work and outcomes.
• Track and report usage, adoption, quality, and business impact to leadership.
• Help shape the firm's longer-term AI governance, acceptable-use standards, and roadmap as the capability matures.

Once fully onboarded, here are a list of this role's full set of responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities to improve workflows using AI and automation.
• Implement GenAI/LLM tools, assistants, and automated workflows.
• Train partners and staff on AI tools.
• Develop practical AI training, workshops, and internal resources.
• Partner with departments to identify AI and automation opportunities.
• Help establish responsible AI, security, and confidentiality practices.
• Evaluate new AI technologies and recommend solutions for the firm.
