PT - Physical Therapist

Outpatient Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Monday to Thursday: 8 AM - 5 PM; Friday: 8 AM - 2 PM

The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. Responsibilities include the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for effective return to community activities. The therapist will also serve as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves, while performing other professional duties associated with patient care and therapy service development.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans focused on progressing patients toward discharge.
• Document medical records in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and insurance guidelines.
• Participate in the student program, providing a positive learning environment with supervision and feedback.
• Actively pursue professional development and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete all state-mandated continuing education requirements.
• Adhere to the organization's performance improvement strategies to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR Certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure for where work will be performed.
• Orthopedic experience is required.
