Clinical Director
A rapidly expanding, physician-led primary care organization is seeking a Center Clinical Director to lead one of its senior-focused outpatient centers in North St. Louis.
This is an opportunity for a high-performing physician ready to step into meaningful leadership while maintaining active patient care. The role blends clinical excellence, operational oversight, and physician mentorship in a value-based care environment.
Position Overview
The Center Clinical Director is responsible for driving clinical quality, operational performance, and physician engagement within the assigned center.
This leader provides direct patient care while supervising and coaching Primary Care Physicians, ensuring strong execution of clinical standards, quality metrics, and patient outcomes.
Time allocation between clinical care and leadership responsibilities varies based on center size and provider capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient care to adult and geriatric patients
- Maintain accountability for patient outcomes and quality performance
- Supervise, mentor, and coach PCPs within the center
- Lead daily clinical huddles and performance discussions
- Drive clinical quality improvement initiatives
- Partner with operational leadership to improve financial and operational performance
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new providers
- Foster a strong, collaborative physician culture
- Monitor and support center census, growth, and membership initiatives

Qualifications
- MD or DO (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or related specialty)
- Active Missouri medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Minimum 12 years of clinical experience required
- Prior leadership or Medical Director experience preferred
- Experience in value-based or managed care models preferred
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary approximately $240,000 $340,000
